E-tiri ("we", "our", or "us") is deeply committed to protecting your privacy. We built E-tiri as a local-first application where you completely control your data.

1. SMS Data & Permissions (Core Functionality)

To provide financial tracking services, E-tiri requests the READ_SMS and RECEIVE_SMS permissions. We use these permissions exclusively to read transaction receipts from supported mobile money providers (such as EVC Plus and JEEB) to calculate your balance, income, and expenses locally on your device. Your personal texts are ignored.

We never read, store, or transmit your raw SMS messages to our servers. Only extracted financial mathematics (e.g., amount, date, category) are ever processed.

2. Zero-Knowledge Encryption & Cloud Sync

E-tiri operates on a principle of explicit consent. Here is exactly how your data is handled:

  • Default Offline Mode (Free Users): By default, E-tiri is a local-only application. Users can use the app 100% offline. Your financial records are processed and stored strictly on your phone. Nothing is uploaded to our servers.
  • Optional Financial Sync (VIP Premium Users): Data is only collected if the user explicitly purchases and enables the VIP Cloud Sync feature. If enabled, only your extracted Financial Information (Purchase History) is securely uploaded to our servers so you can access the PC Web Dashboard.
  • End-to-End Encryption (E2EE): E-tiri uses Zero-Knowledge End-to-End Encryption. Your financial dashboard is encrypted directly on your device using your private Master PIN before it ever leaves your phone. We cannot read, decrypt, or access your financial data.

3. Data Retention & Deletion

You have total control over your financial footprint:

  • Local Data:You can delete all your financial history from your device at any time using the "Factory Reset" option in the app's settings, or by simply uninstalling the application.
  • Cloud Data:If you enabled the optional VIP Cloud Sync, you can instantly delete your server backup by tapping "Delete Cloud Account" within the app settings. Once triggered, your encrypted records are permanently wiped from our secure servers.

4. Third-Party Services & Analytics

We do not sell, rent, or trade your financial data to third-party advertisers or analytics companies. The only time data leaves your device is either through the optional Encrypted Cloud Sync feature mentioned above, or if you explicitly use the native "Export to CSV/PDF" tool to save files directly to your device storage.

5. Account Information

Because the app primarily operates offline, we do not require you to create an account with an email or password for standard use. However, when you verify a Premium payment, you will share your Device ID and payment screenshot with us via WhatsApp. We use your WhatsApp phone number and profile name strictly for customer support and generating your activation key.

6. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Any updates to this policy will be reflected on this webpage and detailed in the release notes of future app updates.
